*Plant-based colorants like alkanet root are derived directly from natural sources without chemical modification. They offer a more eco-friendly, sustainable option for those who prefer to use ingredients that are less processed and closer to their raw, natural form. For this reason, we consider alkanet a truly natural colourant. While dazzling mica colours (despite being mineral-based and mined) we do not align mica with the same principles as plant-based colourants. And therefore, while we still use mica, we do not consider that a 'natural colourant'.
Detergent free. Real soap is a natural germ magnet! The act of washing with real soap naturally helps to remove germs, bacteria and viruses from the skin through the act of lathering, washing and rinsing without the need to add harsh ingredients that may cause skin irritation (like you may find in antibacterial shower gels for instance). For sensitive skin we recommend you use soap from our fragrance-free range.
This is true of all real-soap, not just ours! However shop-bought 'soap' can sometimes be decieving, as quite often it's not even real soap!.. It is detergent in a bar. Always buy from a artisan soap-maker if you can.
Warnings: for external use only – avoid direct eye contact – not for application to the mucous membranes or onbroken skin. If irritation occurs discontinue use.
